About Me

I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Tampa and received a PhD in Criminal Justice from John Jay College in 2021. Prior to beginning my tenure as an academic and researcher, I worked for several midwestern police departments as a crime analyst. My interests include the spatial analysis of crime, policing and crime prevention strategies, crime control technology, and systematic social observation. I have recently worked as the primary quantitative methodologist on two funded research grants in close collaboration with police departments in Newark, NJ, Chicago, IL, and Kansas City, MO. My scholarship has been published in CriminologyJustice Quarterly, and Criminology and Public Policy among other scholarly outlets.
